Hi Beauties,

This post Is going to be about the good and sadly the bad of Sally Hansen’s Sugar Coat polish In the gorgeous Red Velvet.

It is a beautiful rich red that has an eye catching pink shimmer and the tiniest silver flecks of sliver and blue micro glitter give this polish the perfect finish. It applies to a stunning opaque, stream free finish in just two coats.

After the first coat:

The pink tone in the polish can be seen more easily but it still gives very opaque coverage after just one coat.

After the second coat:

The polish looks a lot more red and it also has a very prominent ‘sugar coat’ texture to it.

It dries quite quickly, in my experience the two costs are dry within 5 to 10 mins of IRS application depending the thickness of the coats and weather of not I use ice water to aid drying time.

It doesn’t really have that much if a smell even in the bottle it is fairly muted compared to polishes from sinful colors and MUA. Also on the nail there’s is little to no smell at all.

That was the good and there’s slot of it, now let’s get too the bad, this polish is beautiful, this polish has a fantastic looking finish, this polish has barely any smell, this polish CHIPS LIKE HELL.
On my nails my completed Red Velvet mani didn’t even last a day, which is so disappointing seen as this polish is absolutely beautiful.

The Scores:

Application: 9/10
Dry Time: 8/10
Colour: 10/10
Durability: 2/10
Wear-ability: 9/10

Natural Collection: Oyster Pink

Hi Beauties

How is everyone on this lovely Sunday afternoon?

So, I’ve just done a mani for like the first time in over a month, it felt so strange to actually be able to see my natural nail.

For my manicure today I used ‘Oyster Pink’ by Natural collection which is ‘Boots’ own make up line, it’s has such a beautiful pearlescent shimmer to it.

Although it’s beautiful the polish goes on incredible sheer

After the first coat:

The colour is barely visible

After the second:

20140629-142313-51793543.jpg
The colour is a little more built up and you can see the pink in it.

After the third coat:

You get a pretty pink shiny pink, which is very close to the colour presented by the bottle.

Although this polish takes three coats to apply it is quick drying compared to other drug store own brand polishes.

It also has quite a strong smell that will linger in the room for a few hours after you have finished your mani, so it’s best to open a window.

The Scores:

Application: 4/10
Dry Time: 4/10
Colour: 7/10
Durability: ?/10
Wear-ability: 8/10

Overall this polish is perfect for a light summer mani, it adds an are of class and chic to your nails without having to wear a bold, brash red. It also catches the light well and gives your nails a beautiful high shin glossy finish.

I will update you all on the durability of ‘Oyster Pink’ from Natural Collection’ in a few days time, I’m hoping for an least an 8/10.

Love, Hugs And Glossy Kisses.
