My Faves: Pretty Pastel Polishes

Hi Beauties

Spring is finally coming, there are lighter mornings which makes dragging myself out of bed for work a nicer experience, there are cute clothes in my fave shops that I can’t wait to get my hands on, but best of all there are pretty spring time pastel polishes,

And here are some of my faves…

The first pretty pastel polish I want to feature in this post is ‘Apple Pie’ by Models Own, It’s a stunning pale green shade that would look lovely with a tan

The second polish is a sky blue shade, now as many of you know I’m not really a blue nail polish kind of girl, but Maybelline’s ‘Uptown Blue’ really stood out to me, it reminds me of a clear sky on a warm sunny day, it’s simply beautiful.

The third polish is one I really do want to try its Essie’s ‘Garden Variety’ which is part of their new spring collection, its a very unquie shade, it has the perfect balance between green and blue that creates a colour all it own that is perfect for the coming spring.

The next polish is from Rimmel’s new Rita Ora collection, not only are the bottles super cute and girly but the colours are sweet and pastel perfect, my favourite is ‘Sweet Retreat’ is a lovely blue toned pink shade and will make you look very tanned.

Thank you lovely for the beautiful swatches

Next I’m going to move onto a polish from Revlon that has been featured in many several of my posts before, yes as you may have guessed it’s a green and no it isn’t ‘Rain Forest’. ‘Minted’ (Thanks for the lovely swatch huni) is a classic Spring to summer transition shade, that isn’t to bright to be worn day or night.

‘Road Rage’ from Barry M is one that I went to purchase last week, it is part of the Speedy Quick Dry collection and was impossible to get hold of, I am very disappointed that I still don’t own this gorgeous fresh green spring shade, maybe some day I will :).

Finally Ciates’s ‘Spinning Teacup’ is also a pretty pastel polish that I have featured in other posts, but I thought I’d mention it again, it’s a beautiful vintage lilac shade that suits it’s name perfectly, I can’t wait to own it.

Thank you huni for providing me with such an adorable swatch

Thanks for reading Beauties, I hope you all enjoyed this post. Are there any pretty pastel polishes that I’ve missed out? Which are your favourite shades for spring?.

Affordable Mini Makeup Haul

Hi Beauties

I hope your all well, I’m feeling the best I have in along time, plus it was pay day on Monday so I decided to get some much needed new makeup.

When it comes to makeup I’m a bargine hunter, I find cheaper brands tend to work best for me, so sadly girls they’ll be no Mac here, (I’d love to try it out and see what all the hype is about, maybe mext month).

My first new product is the ‘Romantic Efflorescence’ palette from MUA, like I need another palette, but the shades are amazing, it’s filled with beautifully vintage shades that look stunning on the eye.

My camera really doesn’t do this palette justice, but I’ll be doing another post on the palette complete with swatches very soon. I think this palette is one that will be well loved and a definite repurchase.

My second purchase is a beautiful eye pencil from Essence, a lesser known makeup brand that now has a range in my town, yay. The retractable long lasting eye pencil in ‘I Have A Green’ is such a stunning shade, it glides on beautifully, it’s super pigmented and stays put all day.

As this pencil was only £1.99, I definitely recommend this eyeliner to anyone who is looking for an expensive and unquie eye look without the price tag to match.

The ‘Amazing Volume Mascara’ from Makeup Revolution has recently become my go to mascara, it has a rich colour and beautiful formula that doesn’t make your lashes look clumpy or dried out.

Although it makes my lashes look long and luxurious, the only down side to this product is that it dries out super quickly, but overall it’s a lovely product that I’d highly recommend.

My finale product is a face powder in shade number 1 from the brand 2True ( exclusive to superdrug), overall the brand is not one I’m fond of I find the foundation cakey and thick and the eyeshadows are crumbly and sheer, but for some reason I love their powders. This shade suits my skin tone perfectly and finshes any makeup look beautifully.

This powder is one I’d repurchase, no questions asked.

Thank you so much for reading beauties. I’m sorry about the lack of quality photos, I’m afraid my photography skills need some work.

Until next time…

Stunning Striped Nails

Hi Beauties

Long time no see, I thought I’d bring you some of my fave stripped nail art.

I’ll have a makeup haul and my polish wish list coming soon I promise, 🙂

My first fave nail art is a beautiful classic design, the stunning Tiffany blue and the solo silver strip, give this design a lovely light and airy feel.

Thank you for the beautiful art

The second piece is simple pastel perfection, which is given a beautifully summery feel by the waved and creative striping. These colours look beautiful together.

Thank you for the lovely art Beauty

The next piece is beautiful, the three different shades of pink make such a lovely ombré effect nail, I think this one is my fave, perfect for spring.

Thanks for the super pretty nails 🙂

The next design is one that screams Art Deco, you know how I love my Art Deco nails, the simple design coupled with the striking contrast between the sliver, white and black give this look a very elegant look and feel, this design would be perfect for a broad room meeting.

Thank you to my lovely at glam bistro, this art is perfection

The next piece takes us back to basics with colourful pastel pin stripping, that reminds me some what of a 1940’s circus. This nail art is perfect and it really does go to show that one times less really is more, love it.

Thank you to the style celeb for providing such pretty art work

Now my next piece is one for the colder season, although it is coming in to spring I really had to include this  piece, the stunning Cand Cane striping coupled with the stunning beautiful red and white tones make this nail art simply magical, I may have lied before I think this is my new fave 🙂

Thank you Beauties for this Christmassy nail art edition

And lastly I have a nail art design for the party girl in all of us, these bright neon strips on a subtle glossy background, make this nail art the perfect way to go from your workplace to drinks on a girlie night out, they’ll add a touch of zining and colour to the fullest of work outfits.

Thank you to my lovelies at the hair and beauty room for this party piece

Thanks for reading Beauties, I hoped you all enjoyed this post, leave a comment telling me which is your fave, or let me know if you’d like your stunning nam art featured in one of my posts.

Today’s mani

Hi Beauties

I hope your all doing well, I’m off work today so I have a little bit of me time which has been nice.

So I thought I’d spend some of it on today’s mani, it’s ‘All That Jazz’ from Collection 2000 (which is now discontinued) it’s a lovely slate grey shade that has a very pretty silver shimmer when the light hits it.

It’s the first time ive worn this polish and I really do like it, it’s opaque in one coat and it’s very quick drying.

After taking the pics I used my ‘P.S’ matte top coat on my middle fingers and this polish still looks fantastic.

I hope you enjoyed this post, I’m sorry it was a little short but I’ll hopefully be posting tomorrow and king an updated polish collection post when I get paid next month.

Until tomorrow…

Today’s mani

Hi Beauties

After much debate I decided to go for ‘Fiji’ which was so disappointing, it’s very very sheer, takes ages to dry and smells terrible, but thanks everyone for the feedback it really means a lot to me.

Today I redid my nails with MUA’s ‘Bright Pink’ after the Sinful Colors mishap, I’m hoping it’s just a bad batch because I really do like the colour. On the other hand ‘Bright Pink’ is very pigmented, opaque in one coat and is very long wearing.

Love it, a big thanks to Sarah for the fantastic pic of one of my fave polishes.
