Bonfire Night Nail Art

Hi Beauties

Now I know not everyone celebrates bonfire night, but here in the UK is a big thing, I love going to firework displays and standing around a huge fire whilst eating burger van burgers, hotdogs and chips, I love seeing the sky light up and the smell of smoke that still lingers in the air the morning after.

Here are a few of my fave bonfire night themed nail art designs for you,

Overcast Autumn Oxblood’s

Hi Beauties

I’m in the mood to post today, since winter is on it’s way, or for some parts of the country it’s already here, I thought I’d post about one of fall 2014’s biggest nail polish trends, ox blood nails. A deep ox blood manicure
will always wins place in my good books, so here are a few of my fave ox blood polishes.

The first Is ‘Boredoux’ by Essie, it’s a deep red tone, it’s defiantly one of my faves, it’s not so dark that it looks black, I love the fact that the berry red undertone can still be seen on the nail.

IMG_3238.JPG

The second polish to feature in this post I’d China Glaze’s ‘Call Of The Wild, compared to Essie’s ‘Boredoux’ ‘Call Of The Wild’ is a lot lighter in shade, in my opinion it has more of a brown undertone and would make the perfect autumn manicure.

IMG_3238-0.JPG

The next polish Is ‘China Town’ from Nars, now I’ve never tried a Nars polish so I’m afraid I cannot comment on the quality of the polish itself, but the colour is stunning it’s more of a berry red tone as opposed to an oxblood shade but never the less it is still a very pretty color.

IMG_3239.JPG

L’oreal’s ‘Haute Couture Red’ looks to be a beautiful copper toned oxblood shade, however in the past I have had polishes from L’oreal and let’s just say the formula it’s exactly the best, in my experiences they were gloppy or streaky and took a very long time to dry. Don’t get my wrong I adore the colour of this polish it is truly a stunning fall shade, it’s just a pity about the formula.

IMG_3240.JPG

As many of you know Revlon’s ‘Vixen’ has featured in quite a few of my posts , and it’s about to feature In another. I have been lusting after ‘Vixen’ for the longest time but can never get hold of it, it’s always sold out, which is very disappointing it is such a beautiful almost plum based oxblood shade. In my books it’s a definite must have for any nail polish addict and when I finally do manage to purchase it, ‘Vixen’ will earn it’s rightful place in my collection.

IMG_3241.JPG

Zoya’s ‘Sam’ is a very pretty wine toned oxblood shade, it looks a lot darker on the nails than it appears I’m the bottle, which for some people be a good thing but for me it’s a negative because I adore the shade as it is in the bottle it’s beautifully unique. But regardless of the difference, ‘Sam’ is still a very beautiful colour on or off the nails.

IMG_3243.JPG

And finally, ‘Flirt’ by Sally Hansen is a very like Revlon’s ‘Vixen’ in the sense that it is a plum based oxblood shade as apprised to a red or black based shade. In my opinion this colour would look stunning at a Halloween party or even as a more Christmassy manicure colour, with some silver or gold accents to really make it pop. I think this is another polish for my ever growing collection.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post beauties, they’ll be a more coming this way within the next couple of days, but until next time,

China Glaze: Metal Metallics

Hi Beauties

It’s getting colder and more wintery here already, I live in the UK and at the moment all it does is rain, so to go along with the rainy weather I thought I’d bring you my favourite metallic polishes by China Glaze.

The first polish by China Glaze is called ‘I’m A Chromantic’, its a textured polish with a very pretty lilac-y pink under tone, now I’m not really a textured polish person as I think some of them can look cheap, but this one looks lovely, I think the lighter colour and the subtle texture makes ‘I’m A Chromantic’ very wearable.

IMG_3176.JPG

‘Rare And Radiant’ is by far one of my favourite from China Glaze’s metallic collection, it is a stunning green shade, a shade that has the perfect balance between a lime green and an emerald green.

IMG_3177.JPG

‘Unpreditable’ is another green shade, but this one is more aquatic than ‘Rare And Radiant’, it is a blue based green which reminds me completely of vacationing some where beautiful and sunny, to me this polish is perfect for the ultimate summer manicure.

IMG_3178.JPG

The forth polish I want to mention in this post is a very beautiful jewel toned purple shade called ‘No Plain Jane’, this polish was named just right because it is anything but plain, it is a very true purple which looks beautiful but the added metallic finish gives it a look all it’s own. Simply stunning.

IMG_3179.JPG

‘Platinum Sliver’ as you’ve probably guessed is a pretty silver shade, but the metallic finish adds a very beautiful mirror finish to this polish, making your manicure beautifully multi tonal.

IMG_3180.JPG

And finally China Glaze’s ‘Poetic’ is another favourite metallic polish of mine. It’s a stunning rose gold shade, but the metallic finish gives this polish a touch of modernity. ‘Poetic’ is the perfect polish to give your manicure a pretty vintage modern twist.

So, another post inspired by the strange weather, I wonder what will inspire me next?

Autumn Oranges

Hi Beauties

I’m felting a little bit enter today and I’m back at the gym, yay 🙂

And October is approaching fast approaching and pumpkin orange nails will soon be all the rage.

China Glaze’s ‘Riveting’ is a beautiful burnt orange shade with a bright gold shimmer and the golden flecks of micro glitter finish this polish off perfectly.

IMG_3082.JPG

Revlon’s ‘Orange Blossom’ is part of their new parfumerie range, not only is the colour a striking balance between red and orange it also smells amazing.

IMG_3083.JPG

The next polish is again from Revlon and is called ‘Marmalade’ it’s a very subtle light orange shade which makes it very wearable whilst still giving your mani that pretty meant for fall look, plus it’s name is super cute.

IMG_3084.JPG

Sinful Colors ‘Courtney Orange’ looks like it could be the love child of ‘Riveting’ from China Glaze and Revlon’s ‘Orange Blossom’, it has a deeper more red undertone coupled with a stunning combination of a gold undertone and golden micro glitter, this one is a definite go to halloween polish for me.

IMG_3085.JPG

Rimmel’s ‘Tangerine Queen’ is a very true, bright orange. Not really one that I would have in my collection as it is a little too bright for my taste but it’s perfect for anyone who isn’t afraid to rock a statement mani.

IMG_3086.JPG

Finally ‘Beach Party’ from Models Own is an orange shade to wear with a tan or one that would suit a darker skin tone so that the neon tone can really pop, but I think this polish would still be great as a way to brighten up dull fall months and remind us that summer is never really that far away.

I am now going on an orange nail polish shopping spree oops :-p

Gorgeous Greens

Hi Beauties

I hope you are all well, unlike me I’ve been tired and in pain for the past few days so I thought I’d take it easy today seen as I’m working all weekend again starting tomorrow,

In order to pep me up a little I thought I’d post about some of my favourite green polishes,

The first is Revlon’s ‘Rain Forest’ I know I’ve mentioned this one in posts before but it really is my at time favourite polish. It has a green base with stunning gold and metallic flecks of micro glitter which together make this polish look Devine, when I wear it I can’t stop looking at my nails 🙂

IMG_2840.JPG

The second is ‘Last Chance’ from Sinful Colors which to me although it’s a lovely colour it is a very basic colour block green which would look lovely in autumn.

IMG_2841.JPG

The third polish to feature in this post Is another by Sinful Colors, ‘San Francisco’ is a much lighter more shimmery shade than ‘Last Change’ because of this it is more of a spring green not an autumn one, this is defiantly a polish I’d want to add to my collection in 2015.

IMG_2842.JPG

‘Emerald Sparkle’ from China Glaze is very similar to Revlon’s ‘Rain Forest’, they both have a beautiful green base with metallic micro glitters, although ‘Emerald Sparkle’ is a lighter shade which makes it an all year round colour, in my opinion it just doesn’t have that same sunning mesmerising look that ‘Rain Forest’ does.

IMG_2843.JPG

The fifth polish is ‘Going Incognito’ by the o so famous Essie, it’s more of a grey based green which gives it a spring time look, it’s still a very pretty colour even though it’s not one I’d wear all year round.

IMG_2844.JPG

Essie’s ‘Stylenomics’ is another fave of mine when it comes to green polish, it is a very deep almost black green which in my opinion makes this shade perfect for the winter months.

IMG_2845.JPG

‘Flat Iron Green’ from NYC is a very rich racing style green and has become a new fave of mine to wear on more casual days.

IMG_2846.JPG

And finally a lighter shade of green is Revlon’s ‘Jaded Night’ it has more of a blue undertone which gives it a uniquely beautiful finish.

IMG_2847.JPG

Thank you beauties for taking the time to have a read through this post, which are your favourite green polish shades? And which brand are they by?
