Fave ‘Victoria’s Secrets’ Nails

Hi Beauties,

So I had a much needed day off on Sunday, yay finally, so myself and my beautiful boyfriend decided to go to a local shopping centre, this shopping centre had a ‘Victoria’s Secrets’, I had a browse but I have other expenses this month so didn’t buy anything.

However it did give me the idea for this post, ‘my fave VS nail art’, I figured I love pink and puppies and there’s some amazing ‘PINK’ nail art out there so why not 🙂

The first piece of ‘Victoria’s Secrets’ nail art I love is one that goes all the way, not only is the puppy super cute and pink, but these lovely hand drawn designs also include the beautiful angels logo and pink black on pink polka dots which I think really make this mani pop.

I want to say I huge thank you to The beautiful Rile for the pretty nails art 🙂

My second pick to feature in this post is a pretty gold and pink number. It’s very simple yet the two shades of pink coupled with the delicate gold lines gives this design a very vintage feel.

For some reason this nail art design reminds me a bit of an old travelling circus or something like it, is it just me or can you see it too?

I’d love to say a huge thank you to the the beautiful Miss Evie for this perfectly vintage piece.
Although my third pick is more of s general design and it doesn’t really scream ‘Victoria’s Secrets’ as such I thought I’d still include it.

This nail art features a pretty spotty pink on pink and white on pink design. This perfect, simple and pretty for everyday wear yet it still shows the artists love of the ‘VS’ brand, not to mention the fact that it is painted with ‘PINK’ polishes.

I’d love to say a huge thank you to Eumaquio for this pretty pink design.

And finally I feel like this piece is perfect to end this post on as it incorporates aspects from all of the other designs to create one stunning final piece, I love the pink, the polka dots and the puppy, this design is ‘Victoria’s Secrets’ perfection.

I’d like to say a huge thank you to This fine artist for this stunning piece the dog is just Devine, 🙂

That’s all for now my lovelies, I’ll be painting my nails again at some point today, so stay tuned for my mani post.

Today’s Mani: English Rose

Hi Beauties

First of all I’d like to thank all of you for the lovely likes and comments on my post ‘Starting YouTube’, I still do have research to do and maybe a camera to buying depending on how well my iPhone holds up, if all goes well I’m hoping to start in May. 🙂

So back to today’s post…

My mani for today or more like this week is is another polish from Rimmel’s Lasting Finish Collection. The polish is ‘English Rose’ and is another pink shade. But unlike ‘Pink Zanfendel’ it has a red undertone and a very pretty vintage look.

I do want to start  wearing more orange and coral shades but ‘English Rose’ was the only Rummel Lasting Finish formula I could find whilst rumaging around in my polish collection.

I specifically chose this line of polish because it stays on literally forever, and work is about to get a little full on for me so I want havd as much free time hanse why I’m putting off YouTube until May.

Please excuse my shabby nails again I keep breaking them :(.

Today’s Mani: Pink Zanfandel

Hi Beauties

First off I’d like to say, I’m sorry for not being around much recently, my work hours are changing and I really don’t have much time to post at the moment.

So sorry and big hugs from me 🙂

My mani today features a shade that I haven’t worn for a while, ‘Pink Zinfandel’ from Rimmel is a stunning vintage pink shade with a rose gold shimmer.

For me it’s the perfect transition shade to spring, and the formula is amazing, it glides on, drys quickly and lasts for up to a week without chipping, perfect.

Without flash

With flash, here you can really see the Rose gold shimmer, love it.

Forgive the state of my wonkie, broken nail, I broke it at work,  I filed and shaped it the best I could for this mani but it still doesn’t look fantastic.

Thanks for reading Beauties, if you can recommend anything that will help my nails become strong and in better condition please let me know, I’m so tired of them breaking all the time.

Today’s mani

Hi Beauties

I’m ill yet again, but this time I think it’s just a cold and I hope I’ll start feeling better soon.

Today I tried painting my nails with Revlon’s ‘Invitation Only’ which is a blue based green, it’s a very pretty colour but for some reason I just wasn’t feeling it.

So, I took it off and redid my mani with ‘Pink Cadillac’ from Collection Work The Colour (which I think is a UK only brand), ‘Pink Cadillac’ is a mid toned pink with an orange base to it. The colour is really pretty but the formula is a little streaky and it takes around 2-3 coats to be completely opaque.

Thank you to the lovely Kitty Tam for the beautifully and very well done swatches.

I hope your enjoyed this post Beauties I hope you liked it, 🙂

Zoya’s Velvet Matte Madness

Hi Beauties

Well, I was browsing the web for nail polishes as you do at 3pm on a Wednesday afternoon, and I came across an advertisement about the rerelease of Zoya’s Matte Velvet polishes, I googled swatches and they look amazing.

I was amazed at how much they actually look like velvet, and the colours are beautiful. I’ve never liked every colour in a whole collection before, here are my thoughts on Zoya’s rerelease matte velvet collection.

‘Dovima’ is a stunning matte black which will be perfect for Halloween or even to transition between autumn and winter. A ‘Dovima’ mani would also look amazing with a glossy tip to give it that ultra glamorous look and feel.

IMG_3182.JPG

‘Posh’ is a very true bright red shade, again it can by made classy or you could add an edge of rockabilly with black vintage patterned decals. I love red and black together and they look stunning on the nail, the velvet texture of the polish coupled with the smooth look of the decal will really make your manicure pop.

IMG_3183.JPG

”Harlow’ is to me more of a fuchsia or deep pink shade as opposed to a berry red, it’s a lovely shade and very wearable but for me it would need to be just a little bit darker. However i do think this polish would look beautiful at a New Year’s Eve party, ‘Harlow’ is a lovely colour and even though it isn’t a true favourite I’d still have it in my collection.

IMG_3184.JPG

‘Savita’ is a very eye catching bright purple shade, I like this polish because unlike the rest of the collection it has a brightness to it which takes away from the strictly gothic look, however I do think the matte velvet finish to the polish makes it a fall or a winter only polish, it would just look too heavy to wear in the summer.

IMG_3185.JPG

‘Veruschka’ is by far my favourite polish of this collection. It is a stunning deep green shade. Green for me is a very versatile colour and a favourite of mine when it comes to nail polish. ‘Veruschka’ would look stunning with ‘Posh’ and a gloss tip to create a sophisticated yet eye-catching manicure.

IMG_3186.JPG

And finally ‘Loredana’ which is a gunmetal grey shade, is for me very much like ‘Harlow’ not a true favourite of mine. It seems to be stuck in limbo between black and grey, but it would still make a lovely mani for anyone who’s wants a dark nail but does not want to use a full on gothic black like ‘Dovima’.

Overall I really do like this collection the velvet matte finish looks stunning for autumn and winter and there is a beautiful colour selection, there is defiantly something for everyone and it’s a collection I can not wait to own.

China Glaze: Metal Metallics

Hi Beauties

It’s getting colder and more wintery here already, I live in the UK and at the moment all it does is rain, so to go along with the rainy weather I thought I’d bring you my favourite metallic polishes by China Glaze.

The first polish by China Glaze is called ‘I’m A Chromantic’, its a textured polish with a very pretty lilac-y pink under tone, now I’m not really a textured polish person as I think some of them can look cheap, but this one looks lovely, I think the lighter colour and the subtle texture makes ‘I’m A Chromantic’ very wearable.

IMG_3176.JPG

‘Rare And Radiant’ is by far one of my favourite from China Glaze’s metallic collection, it is a stunning green shade, a shade that has the perfect balance between a lime green and an emerald green.

IMG_3177.JPG

‘Unpreditable’ is another green shade, but this one is more aquatic than ‘Rare And Radiant’, it is a blue based green which reminds me completely of vacationing some where beautiful and sunny, to me this polish is perfect for the ultimate summer manicure.

IMG_3178.JPG

The forth polish I want to mention in this post is a very beautiful jewel toned purple shade called ‘No Plain Jane’, this polish was named just right because it is anything but plain, it is a very true purple which looks beautiful but the added metallic finish gives it a look all it’s own. Simply stunning.

IMG_3179.JPG

‘Platinum Sliver’ as you’ve probably guessed is a pretty silver shade, but the metallic finish adds a very beautiful mirror finish to this polish, making your manicure beautifully multi tonal.

IMG_3180.JPG

And finally China Glaze’s ‘Poetic’ is another favourite metallic polish of mine. It’s a stunning rose gold shade, but the metallic finish gives this polish a touch of modernity. ‘Poetic’ is the perfect polish to give your manicure a pretty vintage modern twist.

So, another post inspired by the strange weather, I wonder what will inspire me next?

Ciate: Perfect Pastels

Hi Beauties

After shopping for drugstore Polish for such a long time and heating everyone rave about high-end brands like MAC, Chanel and Urban Decay, I thought I’d delve into the higher end of the nail polish world myself by bringing you my favourite polishes from Ciate,

As far as I know Ciate is a French brand and I only own two bottles of polish by them, but all in all I like them, they have a great range of colours, their formula is nice, goes on smooth, is quick drying and depending in the colour most Ciate polishes are opaque in 1-2 coats.

Even through it’s coming into fall again, this post is going to be on Ciates’s pretty pastels, I was looking up swatches online and pastels just seemed to catch my eye, so here are a few of my fave polishes that I would like to add to my very meagre collection.

The first Ciate polish is ‘Candy Floss’ which is a very bright yet subtle and petty shade of pink, this is a colour that for me will have to wait until next spring as I want to wear it with a tan to really give such an eye catching colour a new lease of life.

IMG_3097.JPG

‘Apples and Custard’ is by far my fave polish featured in this post, as you may know Iove green polish, weather it be mint or a deep emerald shade green is a mani must for me. ‘Apples and Custard’ is more of a muted lime green shade and less of a true apple green colour, however it is still stunning and it has such a super cute name.

IMG_3098.JPG

‘Ferris Wheel’ is a very pretty muted pastel blue shade which remains me a lot of the 1950s. It is a white based blue which will give your nails a subtle sky blue shade without screaming ‘look at me’.

IMG_3099.JPG

Pepperminty’ again has an adorable name but it is also the perfect mix of ‘Apples and Custard’ and ‘Ferris Wheel’,it has the 1950s sky blue shade that can be seen in ‘Ferris Wheel’ yet it is balanced perfectly with the muted lime shade of ‘Apples and Custard’, this is such a perfect spring/summer shade.

IMG_3100.JPG

‘Hoopla’ is another pink shade but unlike ‘Candy Floss’ is has more of a peachy undertone, as a result you get the perfect baby pink shade, simply beautiful.

IMG_3101.JPG

‘Spinning Tea Cups’ is the only purple shade to feature in this post which is strange because I love my pretty pastel purple shades, even though it is more of a grey based purple ‘Spinning Tea Cups’ still looks like a summertime polish, but because it also has more muted undertone I think this would be a lovely polish to wear in autumn as a professional neutral nail that isn’t nude.

IMG_3102.PNG

And finally ‘Strawberry Milkshake’ is another polish that would make a lovely nude nail, it is a white based pink, this balance means it is not so nude that it is plain and neutral yet it is not such a bright pink it can only be worn in summer.

Overall I think some of the polishes in this post are very versatile and have the perfect balance between subtle pastel shades and bold, bright shocking shades. In my opinion this means they can be worn in both summer and autumn and will compliment your look beautifully.
