Today’s Mani: Bubble Gum

Hi Beauties

I know I said I’d have this post up yesterday but I started watch king ‘Orange is the new black’ on ‘Netflix’ and time seemed to runaway, so I thought I’d paint them today.

As summer is coming I’m trying to move away from black in terms of the clothes I wear and I guess that goes for my polish too.

Today’s mani is ‘Bubble Gum’ by Revlon, yes this polish is an older one that has been in my collection for years. It’s the perfect summer colour and is smell absolutely Devine.

In the bottle this polish is a very pink, pink if that makes scense, but on my nails I think it has more of an orange or coral tone to it, but it’s still a beautiful colour.

Like many other Revlon polishes I’ve tried ‘Bubble Gum’ is opaque in one coat, but I alway use two, I’ve discovered it lasts longer on the nail If I use two instead of one.

Have I mentioned it’s polish smells Devine, I think I have, but it really does, not so much of ‘Bubble Gum’ but it does have a very sweet ‘eat me now’ kind of smell.

It smells so good that whenever I wear this polish I find myself continually sniffing my nails, so I’m preparing myself for the funny looks I’ll get at work tonight lol.
So I hope you enjoyed this post my lovelies, and please comment below on what you thought of the background to my pics, tacky or classy?

Fave ‘Victoria’s Secrets’ Nails

Hi Beauties,

So I had a much needed day off on Sunday, yay finally, so myself and my beautiful boyfriend decided to go to a local shopping centre, this shopping centre had a ‘Victoria’s Secrets’, I had a browse but I have other expenses this month so didn’t buy anything.

However it did give me the idea for this post, ‘my fave VS nail art’, I figured I love pink and puppies and there’s some amazing ‘PINK’ nail art out there so why not 🙂

The first piece of ‘Victoria’s Secrets’ nail art I love is one that goes all the way, not only is the puppy super cute and pink, but these lovely hand drawn designs also include the beautiful angels logo and pink black on pink polka dots which I think really make this mani pop.

I want to say I huge thank you to The beautiful Rile for the pretty nails art 🙂

My second pick to feature in this post is a pretty gold and pink number. It’s very simple yet the two shades of pink coupled with the delicate gold lines gives this design a very vintage feel.

For some reason this nail art design reminds me a bit of an old travelling circus or something like it, is it just me or can you see it too?

I’d love to say a huge thank you to the the beautiful Miss Evie for this perfectly vintage piece.
Although my third pick is more of s general design and it doesn’t really scream ‘Victoria’s Secrets’ as such I thought I’d still include it.

This nail art features a pretty spotty pink on pink and white on pink design. This perfect, simple and pretty for everyday wear yet it still shows the artists love of the ‘VS’ brand, not to mention the fact that it is painted with ‘PINK’ polishes.

I’d love to say a huge thank you to Eumaquio for this pretty pink design.

And finally I feel like this piece is perfect to end this post on as it incorporates aspects from all of the other designs to create one stunning final piece, I love the pink, the polka dots and the puppy, this design is ‘Victoria’s Secrets’ perfection.

I’d like to say a huge thank you to This fine artist for this stunning piece the dog is just Devine, 🙂

That’s all for now my lovelies, I’ll be painting my nails again at some point today, so stay tuned for my mani post.

My Faves: Pretty Pastel Polishes

Hi Beauties

Spring is finally coming, there are lighter mornings which makes dragging myself out of bed for work a nicer experience, there are cute clothes in my fave shops that I can’t wait to get my hands on, but best of all there are pretty spring time pastel polishes,

And here are some of my faves…

The first pretty pastel polish I want to feature in this post is ‘Apple Pie’ by Models Own, It’s a stunning pale green shade that would look lovely with a tan

The second polish is a sky blue shade, now as many of you know I’m not really a blue nail polish kind of girl, but Maybelline’s ‘Uptown Blue’ really stood out to me, it reminds me of a clear sky on a warm sunny day, it’s simply beautiful.

The third polish is one I really do want to try its Essie’s ‘Garden Variety’ which is part of their new spring collection, its a very unquie shade, it has the perfect balance between green and blue that creates a colour all it own that is perfect for the coming spring.

The next polish is from Rimmel’s new Rita Ora collection, not only are the bottles super cute and girly but the colours are sweet and pastel perfect, my favourite is ‘Sweet Retreat’ is a lovely blue toned pink shade and will make you look very tanned.

Thank you lovely for the beautiful swatches

Next I’m going to move onto a polish from Revlon that has been featured in many several of my posts before, yes as you may have guessed it’s a green and no it isn’t ‘Rain Forest’. ‘Minted’ (Thanks for the lovely swatch huni) is a classic Spring to summer transition shade, that isn’t to bright to be worn day or night.

‘Road Rage’ from Barry M is one that I went to purchase last week, it is part of the Speedy Quick Dry collection and was impossible to get hold of, I am very disappointed that I still don’t own this gorgeous fresh green spring shade, maybe some day I will :).

Finally Ciates’s ‘Spinning Teacup’ is also a pretty pastel polish that I have featured in other posts, but I thought I’d mention it again, it’s a beautiful vintage lilac shade that suits it’s name perfectly, I can’t wait to own it.

Thank you huni for providing me with such an adorable swatch

Thanks for reading Beauties, I hope you all enjoyed this post. Are there any pretty pastel polishes that I’ve missed out? Which are your favourite shades for spring?.

Stunning Striped Nails

Hi Beauties

Long time no see, I thought I’d bring you some of my fave stripped nail art.

I’ll have a makeup haul and my polish wish list coming soon I promise, 🙂

My first fave nail art is a beautiful classic design, the stunning Tiffany blue and the solo silver strip, give this design a lovely light and airy feel.

Thank you for the beautiful art

The second piece is simple pastel perfection, which is given a beautifully summery feel by the waved and creative striping. These colours look beautiful together.

Thank you for the lovely art Beauty

The next piece is beautiful, the three different shades of pink make such a lovely ombré effect nail, I think this one is my fave, perfect for spring.

Thanks for the super pretty nails 🙂

The next design is one that screams Art Deco, you know how I love my Art Deco nails, the simple design coupled with the striking contrast between the sliver, white and black give this look a very elegant look and feel, this design would be perfect for a broad room meeting.

Thank you to my lovely at glam bistro, this art is perfection

The next piece takes us back to basics with colourful pastel pin stripping, that reminds me some what of a 1940’s circus. This nail art is perfect and it really does go to show that one times less really is more, love it.

Thank you to the style celeb for providing such pretty art work

Now my next piece is one for the colder season, although it is coming in to spring I really had to include this  piece, the stunning Cand Cane striping coupled with the stunning beautiful red and white tones make this nail art simply magical, I may have lied before I think this is my new fave 🙂

Thank you Beauties for this Christmassy nail art edition

And lastly I have a nail art design for the party girl in all of us, these bright neon strips on a subtle glossy background, make this nail art the perfect way to go from your workplace to drinks on a girlie night out, they’ll add a touch of zining and colour to the fullest of work outfits.

Thank you to my lovelies at the hair and beauty room for this party piece

Thanks for reading Beauties, I hoped you all enjoyed this post, leave a comment telling me which is your fave, or let me know if you’d like your stunning nam art featured in one of my posts.

Todays Mani And Thank You :)

HiBeauties

I’m finally beginning to feel better, I was going to post a picture of myself, but I don’t look as well as I thought I did :).

Today’s mani is Sinful Colors ‘Winter Berry’ which is a purple based brown shade with a silver shimmer to it, it’s super pretty, I just wish I would have used it sooner. I’ve had ‘Winter Berry’ since November last year and this is the first time it’s been opened, as you can probably tell I’m loving grey and brown toned polishes which is  strange for me I’d normally go for red or pink.

A huge thank you to Project Swatch for the stunningly beautiful… Swatches.

Since spring is upon us (most of us) I thought I’d jazz up my mani a little, for this I used I glitter top coat from London Girl.

It’s a lovely polish with both hex and circle shaped glitters, combined with green and sliver micro glitters, it really makes my mani pop.

Please excuse the Shockley horrible nails I’m in the process of growing them out again.

I hope you enjoyed this post Beauties  and thank you so much for all of your lovely ‘get well soon’ messages they really do help.

Art Deco Nails

Hi Beauties

How are you all?

I’m feeling slightly better myself today, not as achy or dizzy, plus me and a friend have started talking again after nearly a month. I’m in work later so I’ve got a feeling that today will be s good day :), and I hope yours is too.

Now as you may or may not know I’m obsessed with New York, I’d love to go one day it’d be a dream come true, I’d love to see the Chrysler Building that would be amazing.

The Chrysler Building is done in an Art Deco style which I love so I thought I’d share some of my fave Art Deco nail art with you.

The first mani is done is shades of brown and gold which look so beautiful together, the brown kind of reminds me of those old photographs from the 1930’s. This design is simply beautiful.

IMG_4422
Thank you sonailicious for the lovely nail art.

To me the next mani totally reminds me of the movie ‘The Great Gatsby’, the geometric shapes coupled with the gold and black colour scheme screams 1920’s America. Absolutely perfect.

IMG_4423
A big thank you to the The Fashion Brewery for making such stunning nail art.

Again this beautiful manicure has the black and gold colour scheme, but instead of 1920’s America, this piece brings to mind Ancient Egypt, not only do the lines remind me of pyramids but in the design on the ring finger, I see a pharaoh wearing a crown, cute 🙂

IMG_4424
I found pics of this lovely design on pintrest .

The next piece of nail art, I feel it a very modern take on an Art Deco design. This piece still has the geometric patterns but the Tiffany blue and white colour scheme are what give this design a lovely modern edge.

IMG_4425
A big thank you to beautylish for the lovely nail art.

So I’m sorry this post was quite short Beauties, but I’m quite particular when it comes to anything Art Deco. Thanks for reading and I’ll post again soon.

Sinful colors: Let’s Talk or Fiji?

Hi Beauties

So I started my new job last week, that’s why I haven’t really been around as much as I normally am, but a pay cheque at the end of the month mean more polish. Yay, 🙂

I need your help to decide which Sinful Colors Polish to buy….

2015/01/img_4387.jpg

Either ‘Lets Talk’ or ‘Fiji’ , they are both blue based purples, but which would you buy?

Please help

Sorry this has been such a short post but I’ll post the results tomorrow, thanks for reading and helping me decide 🙂

Winter Essentials 2014 Tag

Hi Beauties

I don’t normally do tags, but it’s Christmas so this time I thought why not?😚, I was tagged by the lovely The World Of Cos you can check out her Winter Essentials 2014 Tag here 🙂.

So let’s get started…

1) What is your ultimate party season lip product?

Now this is a tough one, but I’d have to say MUA’s Lipstick in ‘Wild Berry’, it’s my perfect winter shade, it’s a blue based red that goes beautifully with my skin tone, it’s a shimmer finish which means it isn’t too drying on my lips and is super cheap at only £1.

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/061/65781477/files/2014/12/img_4152.jpg

2) What is your winter Essential Product?

I’d have to say my ultimate product for winter, the one I never leave the house without Is my hand cream, my hands get so dry during the winter months, my go to hand cream this year is Doves ‘Indulgent Nourishing Hand Cream with Shea Butter’. It works so well it makes my skin super soft, it doesn’t smell funny and it doesn’t feel greasy on my skin either, I love this stuff.

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/061/65781477/files/2014/12/img_4153.jpg

3) What are you most hoping to see under the Christmas Tree?

I’ve had my eye on a beautiful ruby ring for quite sometime so I’m hoping to find it under the tree this year, but If not I suppose there’s always my birthday.

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/061/65781477/files/2014/12/img_4154.jpg

4) Name one beauty essential that is never missing from your bag during colder months

Another beauty product I never leave the house without in the winter months are my ‘Applelicious Glossy Lip Balms’ by NYC, I currently have two of them ‘ Apple Blossom’ and ‘Apple Blueberry Pie’ they are so lovely they leave my lips so soft and hydrated and they have a super lovely scent to them as well, I’d defiantly recommend them.

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/061/65781477/files/2014/12/img_4155.jpg

5) What are your winter weather skincare saviors?

For this question I only have one product as my skin doesn’t really change all that much in the winter. My chosen product is the ‘Visibly Clear 2 in 1 Mask and Wash’ from Neutrogena. I love this stuff it works perfectly well as a wash, taking away dead skin cells, getting rid of makeup and oils, but if I want a deeper clean the face mask really does the job, I leave it on for 15 minutes and when I take it off my skin feels lovely and soft and looks sparkling clean.

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/061/65781477/files/2014/12/img_4156.png

6) What is winter going to smell like this year?

I rarely drink but I have a soft spot for ‘Southern Comfort Cherry’, I love ‘Southern Comfort’ and cherries on their own, so when my boyfriend bought me ‘Cherry Southern Comfort’ I was in heaven I could wait until Christmas Day and had to open it their and then :).

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/061/65781477/files/2014/12/img_4157.jpg

7) Is the Berry eye the new Berry lip?

No, I love berry lips there’s something so classy and elegant about them, in my opinion berry lips will never go out of style and berry eyes? I don’t think they’ll stick around for long.

8) What are you greatest winter indulgences?

Mmm this is a tricky one, I’d have to say run balls are one of my fave treats that I can only seem to find in shops at Christmas time, I can literally sit and eat and entire packet, lucky for me their super cheap and ultra delicious.

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/061/65781477/files/2014/12/img_4158.jpg

9) Lush Christmas? Your top pick?

I don’t really use Lush products, but I’ve seen some of my Beauties blogging bout them and it’s got me wanting to try the Christmas Kisses’ bubble bar, I think I’m drawn to this one most of all because it looks like a huge Hershey’s kiss, and I’m a sucker for Hershey’s chocolate.

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/061/65781477/files/2014/12/img_4261.jpg

10) Name one (or more) random winter essential.

My final winter essential has to be my ‘Glorious Mud’ face mask, it’s a clay based face mask and does wonders to my pores, I love applying it whilst in a nice relaxing bubble bath with candles burning and a good book.

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/061/65781477/files/2014/12/img_4159.jpg

Time to tag my beauties, but only do the tag if you want too.

1) Ruth http://adornedclaw.com

2) the beautified blogger https://thebeautifiedblogger.wordpress.com/about-2/

3) Elektra King
http://elektraking.com

4) and finally Kerry http://paintedfingertips.wordpress.com

Thanks so much for reading this post beauties, they’ll be reviews, swatches, updates and maybe even a Christmas haul to come.
